11 PENALTY CORNER: Generally awarded to the offending team if the defending team commits a foul in its circle or a particularly bad foul in its defending quarter. PENALTY STROKE: Taken by a single attacking player from the penalty spot against the goalkeeper. It is usually awarded after a defending player breaches the rules to prevent a probable goal.
